In June 2008 Hives Planning, along with Nicholas Pearson Associates, obtained planning permission following a two day Public Inquiry for the relocation of Thame Cattle Market and associated buildings, car parking and ancillary activities to the Thame Showground (Appeal Decision APP/Q3115/07/2055425).

The scheme was submitted on behalf of RG Williams Ltd and the Inspector accepted the unsuitability of the present Cattle Market site to meet the needs of the farming community, as well as the benefits which would result from relocation.

The proposal will also help to secure the ongoing future of the Thame Show, which is one of the oldest Shows in the Country, by providing shared facilities and a way to avoid the detrimental impact of bad weather on its ability to hold events.
